Residential Director
Grade XI, Salaried

In conjunction with vice president, manages and directs program through planning, clinical services, organizing, monitoring, problem solving, decision-making and supervising to develop and provide client services as identified through program plans, contracts, applicable licensing and accreditation standards. Qualifications: Master’s Degree in social service or behavioral science field; three years successful full-time experience in a clinical, educational, residential or treatment environment related to behavior disordered and emotionally disturbed children and their families; supervisory experience preferred. LCSW or LCPC achieved or in process. Effective leadership skills; commitment to agency mission; high level of professional skills; strong organizational skills, oral and written communication skills; ability to work effectively within a management team framework; dependability; demonstrated sensitivity to cultural and individual differences in children and families served; ability to handle job related matters in a professional, diplomatic and confidential manner; and ability to organize and execute responsibilities in an independent manner. Vision, hearing and speaking ability which allows for effective communication of information; ability to transport self and clients to various locations; ability to pass DCFS driving requirements; ability to physically restrain clients; physical and emotional stamina to effectively handle job related stress.
