CHILDREN’S HOME ANNOUNCES NEW TRUSTEE AND DIRECTORS

The Children’s Home Association of Illinois Board of Trustees elected new Officers at their June 8, 2004 meeting: Joseph E. Dondanville, Chairman of the Board; Phillip B. Lenzini, Vice Chairman; and Dr. John S. Erwin, Secretary/Treasurer.

Andrea Parker, BSN, MSN, Director of Health for the Peoria City/County Health Department, was also elected to a three year term on the Board of Trustees.

Tim Fogerty, an eight year member of the Board of Trustees, completed his two year tenure as Chairman of the Board, as well as his position on the Board due to his relocation to St. Louis after a promotion with National City Bank.

The Children’s Home Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of the following individuals to the Foundation Board of Directors:

Solomon Balraj – Director of the Greater Peoria Airport Authority; currently serves on the EDC Board of Directors, ICC Education Foundation Board of Directors, Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Advisory Board, the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Transportation Committee, Greater Peoria Vision 2020 Economic Development Task Force, among others.

Lindsey Birkel – Communications Specialist for Caterpillar Track-Type Tractor Division and graduate of the Chamber Community Leadership School; currently serves on Community Workshop and Training Center Board of Directors, Central Illinois Bradley Alumni Chapter Board where she serves as the Vice President of Marketing ad the Bradley University Center for Student Leadership and Public Service Board; Lindsey is also a member of the Public Relations Association of Central Illinois.

Brian Geier – Director of Facility Services at Methodist Medical Center and graduate of the Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership School; Brian is a member of the 40 Leaders Under 40 Class of 2001 and is an officer of the Brad Campbell Memorial.

Paul Grove – Regional Manager (Mossville) for Advanced Technology Services; Paul was formerly with Rohn Industries and is a former member of the Children’s Home Board of Trustees; he is a member of the First Baptist Church of Peoria Missions Board and President of the Church’s Adult Fellowship Group.

Duane Livingston - Retired Vice President of Caterpillar; currently serves on the Eureka College Board of Trustees, Tri-County Urban League Board of Directors, Illinois Special Olympics Board, Peoria Area Community Foundation Board, OSF Community Advisory Board and the Washington, D.C. Executive Leadership Council.

Mike Morrow – Captain, Peoria Fire Department; currently Vice President of the Peoria Firefighters Local #50, Chair of the Local #50 MDA drive, Democratic Precinct Committee Person; former Board member of the Kirk Edwards Foundation;

Katie Owens - Wife of Caterpillar Chairman Jim Owens; currently serves on the Easter Seals Auxiliary; Katie has also been involved with the Sisma Cheshire Homes (an organization for handicapped Indonesians) and the Lakeview Associates Board.

David “Harry” Puterbaugh – President of Leisy Brewing Co.; currently a member of the St. Paul’s Cathedral Vestry and a member of the WTVP Public Broadcasting Board.

John W. Stenson, II - Assistant State’s Attorney in Peoria County; currently a mentor with the Greeley Mentor/Mentee Program; earned a BS in psychology from the University of Illinois and his Juris Doctorate in 2002 from Southern Illinois University.
