ANNOUNCED FOR 14th ANNUAL JACK KENNY 5K RUN/WALK
&
PRE-REGISTRATION EVENT
Peoria, IL -
The St. Patrick’s Society of Peoria has announced that the 14th
Annual Jack Kenny 5K Run/Walk will be held at 9:00 a.m. on
Saturday, March 12, 2005 at Glen Oak Park in Peoria.
The event
will again benefit the Children’s Home Association of Illinois.
In the past 14 years, the annual run/walk has raised over
$7,500 for the Children’s Home.
There will
be a pre-registration party at Katie McButts, 2440 N. Knoxville
Ave., on Saturday, January 29 from 11:00 – 4:00 p.m. with free
Irish Stew from the secret recipe of Mary Margaret McGraw and
homemade potato soup from the secret recipe of the McEnroe
family.
The first
140 persons to register at a rate of $20 will receive a stocking
cap. Registration with no stocking cap is $18.00. Awards will
be presented immediately following the race to the top overall
male and female as well as several other awards in various age
categories and there will be a post race party at Katie McButts.
