AVANTI’S SHOWS THANKFULNESS FOR PEORIA AREA SERVICES

Peoria, Il- Avanti’s Italian Restaurant will (say thank you to) Peoria area non-profit organizations during the 1st annual Seven Days of Thankfulness Campaign. Beginning Monday, November 17 and continuing through Monday, November 24, Avanti’s will be collecting donations for area agencies in an effort to show appreciation and to raise awareness in the community for the agencies’ services. As a grand finale to the campaign, Avanti’s will be serving a spaghetti dinner to families served by Children’s Home.

During each day of the campaign, Avanti’s will recognize a different organization by posting signs in the lobby and carryout area at each of the three Peoria area locations. Donations will be accepted for the organization highlighted on that particular day. Benefiting organizations include Christmas in April, Tazewell County Children’s Advocacy Center, Friends of 4-H Extension Program, Save Our Sight Walk/Run, Lifeline Family Services, Rural Peoria County Council on Aging, Inc., and Children’s Home Association of Illinois.

On the final day of the campaign, Avanti’s will provide a Thanksgiving dinner to families of Children’s Home at the agency’s Knoxville campus. Residents of Children’s Home will serve the dinner in order to encourage them to give back to the community that has given so much to them. Through donations of spaghetti, salad and garlic bread, these families will be provided with a meal they may otherwise have to do without.

Avanti’s is an Italian Restaurant with three locations in the Peoria area: West Main Street, North Rockwood Drive, and East Washington Street in East Peoria. It has been serving fine Italian cuisine to residents of Peoria for over 30 years.
