PARTNERS IN CARING JOIN TO FIGHT CHILD ABUSE

Peoria, IL-Thousands of children each year are victims of child abuse. Unfortunately, many of those cases go unnoticed until they occur in our own backyard. 

Rosewood Care Center in Peoria and the Children’s Home will be hosting the 1st annual “Partners in Caring Carry-Out Chili Supper” on Thursday, September 5, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Rosewood. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Children’s Home in memory of 2-week-old child abuse victim, Mariah Bedford.

Orders for the chili supper are being accepted in advance by calling Rosewood at 691-2200 and will be taken until September 5; walk-ins are also welcome the day of the event. The carry-out chili supper will feature hotdogs for $2, chili for $1.50, and slices of pie for $1.
