“GUNS vs. HOSES” EVENT A SUCCESS  

Peoria , IL -Children’s Home is pleased to announce that the 1^st Annual “Guns vs. Hoses” softball game raised over $900.00 for the families and children served by the agency.  

On Sunday, October 27, police and firemen from across the area traded their professional gear for a bat, a softball, and some old fashioned competition in a softball game that pitted the two squads against one another.  The event was held at O’Brien Field and was organized by a group of Public Relations majors from Bradley University as their senior project.  The softball game was designed to raise awareness about the many events that can take place at O’Brien Field other than Peoria Chiefs games.   

Children’s Home would like to thank everyone who participated in this inaugural event!  Let’s play ball!
