LAW ENFORCEMENT APPRECIATION DAY SCHEDULED

Peoria, IL-Children's Home will be hosting a special open house on Friday, May 2, 2003 in honor of the hard work and effort displayed throughout the year by the men and women of area law enforcement departments.  The special event is one of many scheduled across the area in conjunction with Law Enforcement Appreciation Week.   

At the open house, law enforcement officials will be presented with a banner designed by the residents of Children’s Home and staff of the agency will give presentations on the role law enforcement play in various programs throughout the organization.  The open house is scheduled from 10-11a.m. at the Children’s Home Knoxville Campus, located at 2130 N. Knoxville in Peoria.  Invitations were sent to the City of Peoria, Peoria County, Peoria Heights, Bartonville, Morton, Metamora, Chillicothe, and the Juvenile Detention Center.   

Children’s Home is a private, not-for-profit, non-sectarian, multiple-program, social service organization.  For over 135 years, Children’s Home has been dedicated to improving the lives of children, their families, and the community.
