Children's Home provides frequent training opportunities which are open to any professionals seeking continuing education. The agency strives to develop quality training programs presented by respected and recognized speakers. Although some cost is generally associated with each workshop for those who are not employees of Children's Home, the agency is frequently able to keep costs to a minimum.
Children's Home is licensed by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation to provide Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for multiple license classes. Seminar Description: Death challenges every social worker to examine their own values within the context of the NASW’s Code of Ethics, and causes professionals to make difficult decisions. This seminar is designed to tackle issues like: managing personal anxiety about death, expressing cultural competence when making end-of-life choices, carrying out advanced directives, and handling requests for assistance with suicide. Through the use of case examples, exercises, and group discussions, social workers with any level of experience will feel more comfortable facing the challenges of working with a dying client. There will be a special focus on managing professional grief.

Come experience a conference like no other that includes fice expert speakers, interactive breaks, skill development, strategies to enhance your resiliency and happiness, as well as plenty of food and surprises throughout the day.
